Let’s discover together Hungarian gastronomy with a twist. During the tour, we are going to roam about the inner city, tasting the most prominent foods & drinks of Hungarian cuisine. Our guide will tell you about the vast array of Hungarian specialities (Hungaricums) while walking in the inner city which is as much alluring as a plate of freshly fried chitterlings with some boiled potatoes and braised red cabbage. We strongly advise you to arrive at the premises with an empty stomach.

We are starting our tour at the great market hall of Fővám square which prides itself on being one of the biggest and most charming markets in Budapest. On the upper floor, we will taste some of the Hungaricums, such as fire bread, stuffed cabbage or Hortobágyi pancake. Here you will find a street selling all kinds of other Hungaricums such as the world famous Hungarian paprika from Kalocsa and Szeged, indispensable to Hungarian cuisine. From the market hall, we are making our way through the inner city where we are stopping at the Inner city’s chitterlings bar (Belvárosi Disznótoros), a dining place where we are going to indulge ourselves in freshly made Hungarian delicacies. Having taken a rest is a café nearby we are going to Saint Stephen’s Basilica to round off the tour by going up the tower of the Basilica and take a sweeping view over Budapest.
